Hey Empowered Souls
This journey of Mindfulness is an interesting thing indeed, there are so many parts to it really. So I thought I would work on defining a bit of what mindfulness means to me, what it looks like to me and feels like. If you are on a journey of this sort , I really encourage you to do the same. I think that we so often get caught up in what someone else’s vision looks like for all sorts of things and we don’t stop and check and ask ourselves, does this feel right to me? Is this how I would live it or define it? So here it goes..
I did touch upon living Mindfully and what it looks like to me in this post , a bit of it posted below
So for me, my personal journey towards mindfulness will include at least some of the following things: Learning to spend and be more mindful financially, Eating more mindfully, treating the planet more mindfully, treating the things my life is telling me more mindfully, spending my time more mindfully.
But I want to expand on this a bit… For me learning to live mindfully means:
-I am not living on auto pilot all the time
-Listening.. with all my senses
-That I learn to stop and check in if I am full or if I am continuing to eat because it’s good and it’s in front of me.
-That I stop and listen to others, my life, my body
-That I have clear to do’s and intentions for the days, weeks, months etc. But I am listening and checking in to see when those activities , foods and to do’s are not what I am really needing, what my life is telling me that it needs. If my lists all be it with intention become the things that I follow like I am on auto pilot it is missing the point.
-Being more mindful in my relationships means I am looking at how they shift and what the need now, not what I once felt they needed, what do they really need now, where does the attention need to be?
-Learning to respond not react to things so quickly
-Looking at my stuff, my life and seeing if the things I am filling my time and space with are what I really want to be filling it with, or needing to fill it with
-Learning to be more aware of the choices I make that have an impact on the environment
-Learning to go by a list and not always a case of the wannas when I shop
-Learning to live by a budget, that was of course created mindfully!
As far as how it feels, it feels good, aware, often peaceful and awake.
There are more ways that I did not touch on at all, but you get the idea of what it means to me!
How about you, what does living mindfully look like, feel like to you?
Here is to living Inspired, Creative and Empowered
