10 Ways to Vision the year ahead
1-Ask yourself: “Where would I like to be a year from now?” let that flow out, don’t judge it just let this be a stream of consciousness writing
2-Ask Yourself How do I want to feel? What do I want to create? What do I want to experience/explore?
3-Ask Yourself what is it that I am being called to? (What keeps coming up, what’s tugging at you, what is on your heart? What needs attention?)
4-Create a “Dear 2014” want ad or letter.. what are you looking for in this next year to hold, to possess (see questions above if you get stuck!)
5-Create a few significant goals and create an inspiration list ( so choose the goals you most want to come to life and then create a list of things you would like to do, see, create, learn etc. This is how I will be doing many of my lists from now on as I have a tendency to choose way too many goals and then be frustrated with myself for not focusing in the most important ones or not making the progress I wanted.
6-Create a collage (and or list) with the prompt: What do I really want?
7-Choose one thing in each area of your life you want to create, heal, nurture. Or Choose one area of your life you are really feeling pulled to (or forced to!) focus on. Create a list, collage around that.
8-Do a visualization, close your eyes, take a deep breath. See you one year from now. What is she/he wearing, feeling, doing. Ask her/him what you need now and through this year to meet her/him where they are. What advice do they have?
9-Create Heart Resolutions– The short version of how to do this is create a list of words that describe what you really want at the core from this year. (so instead of weight loss = Health/Energy, Instead of pay off all debt =Freedom etc..) that does not mean you do not want those things but you are connecting to the heart of what you really want.
10-Create a vision board! Frankly this can go along with just about any of the above ideas! Create a vision board that represents the feelings and things that came up during this visioning process.
