A few ideas for creative organization

Hey inspiring souls!

I thought I’d share a few ideas I’m using for creative organizing.

The top image is dollar store pencil pouches with rings to secure together. I’m using mine for Washi. There are a lot of uses for these though. Some being small images, floss for cross stitching, watercolor paints and brushes, a little journal and pens etc….

Second one is a pretty dish I got from a thrift store. I use to hang my earrings on. This could also be used for various things. Washi, change, crystals etc

I will be exploring my supplies to see what I can us creatively. I invite you to do the same.

15 Mini Life Edits- Living with Intention

15 mini life edits
Hey Lovely Souls!
For some reason I love the idea of a life edit, but editing and overhauling everything isn’t likely or realistic. (not to mention it’s overwhelming!)
So I created a list of 15 ways to create little min life edits for yourself. These are all fairly simple (and not too time consuming) ways to add what would help support you and subtract what isn’t.
  1. Clean out your purse/bag/wallet -Only put back in what is needed, deal with the rest (put it away, throw it away etc..)
  2. .Create a yes stack of books!
  3. Delete apps you never use.
  4. Turn off notifications that distract you and suck you into the vortex!
  5. Get/Use a reusable water bottle to be a constant reminder to hydrate.
  6. Unsubscribe from emails that you always delete anyway (or that just make you feel bad, obligated or any type of should feeling… )
  7. Put your creative supplies (some of them) out in a place where you will see them daily.
  8. Write down your ideas (use a notes app on your phone or carry a notebook with you)
  9. Choose the books you want to read each month and write them down. I have so many books. I constantly say I want to read more.. and yet I don’t. Part of that is because I have not intentionally selected what I want to be reading.
  10. Remove (when you can) the items from your space that derail what you say you want. (example: You want to eat healthier but all you have around is junk food… not helpful to eating healthier is it?!)
  11. Add in the items (where you can) that support what you want. (going with the example above, add in fruits, veggies or less processed stuff) But this can go for all sorts of items!
  12. Set up reminders on your phone to hydrate, take a deep breath, to check in with yourself.
  13. Get rid of the books and magazines that feel like shoulds (I should learn this, be this way or read/use it because I paid so much…) Sell or give them away. Let what feels like an obligation be a blessing to someone else.
  14. Automate what you can where you can. Bills, supplies… you always get. This isn’t about being on autopilot it’s about making things easier, less stressful.
  15. Make a list of go to’s.. .Menu, grocery items, self care practices… It can be a great tool to check in with when you are trying to engage in those things. Instead of always trying to come up with something new or off the top of your head. You have your sort of master list of… to pull from.

December Intention Setting Prompts

Hey Lovely Souls!

It’s easy this time of year to get caught up in  all the expectations or perceived expectations of others/society of what we think we should be doing, getting, creating and sharing.

This month I will share some prompts and ideas to be in this month with a bit more intention .

Start with the prompts above to set the foundation…

16 (small) actions to help you live with more intention

Hey Lovely Souls,

Shifting the energy, our lives and starting the path of living a more intentional life doesn’t have to cost us a bunch or any money and doesn’t have to be time consuming. Here are some small actions you can take!

  1. Create a yes stack of books
  2. Release books that feel like “Should”
  3. Clean out your purse, car, junk drawer
  4. Unsubscribe to a email or 3!
  5. Delete apps you never use
  6. Write down a mantra and post it somewhere you will see it often ( I am loved, I am guided, I am doing my best)
  7. Look people in the eyes when you are talking to them (it’s easy to look at our phones or to dismiss the person behind the counter helping us.. make a point to make eye contact)
  8. Send an encouraging text, email, note.
  9. Put on a song you love and move to it or let it move you (sitting and soaking it in…eyes close if safe to do so)
  10. Choose a talisman of sorts, something to wear or easily portable to remind you that you are guided.
  11. Set up “stuff” the night before (clothing, coffee, am tools to help you start your day with purpose and alignment)
  12. Write down what you are grateful for (or paint it, capture a picture, write a poem)
  13. Ask yourself am I numbing or nourishing
  14.  Carry a journal with you to capture ideas, thoughts, doodles, wish lists, soul notes

Monthly Review and Intentions

Hey Lovely Souls!

It’s November already, how that happened I don’t know! But here we are!

Grab your journal, planner, notes app or whatever feels right and take a few minutes to reflect and set intentions.

In October what were my wins and woes? We are all great about focusing on our woes and undones. It’s important to look at our wins. It helps us know whats working and whats not.

For November…

What do I want to…

Feel

Create

Accomplish

Savor

How will I set myself up for success, how will I support myself?

That might mean making your holiday meal a potluck, getting some things prepped, going non traditional, skipping some gatherings you usually go to because you feel maxed out already, creating traditions that feel right to you even if they are not “traditional”

Monday Mindset & Mantra Calm over Chaos

Hello Lovely Souls!

With life being so full for many of us in various ways and things feeling like they are going fast and often chaotic. It’s really easy for many of us to get caught up in that energy. We don’t even realize it’s happening most of the time!

The thing is that we can choose a different energy and a different story. The first step to shifting it is to realize and name where you are at currently. This is not time to beat yourself up. This is simply noticing… It might be like hey I feel like I am reacting all the time and I really want to respond. I am noticing that the chatoic energy of others or my space seems to trigger that same type of energy in me.

Here is the mantra to go along with this..

I choose calm over chaos.  or  I check in with myself and I can choose calm over chaos.

Create Your Fall Intentions and Wishlist

Hey Beautiful Souls!

For many of us Fall is here (even if the weather is still feeling otherwise!)

Lifes demands and distractions often divert our attention into reacting vs responding.

Giving yourself space and permission to really name what you want from the season is one way to help counteract that.

Some prompts to help you explore what you want from this season…

  1. What do I want to accomplish? Now out of those what ones really matter to me the most and what do I need so support these getting accomplished?
  2. What do I want to create? This can be craft projects, writing, soul projects, meals, moments.
  3. What do I want to savor about this season? How can you engage your senses in this season?
  4. What do I want to do less of so I can do more of…
  5. What are some low pressure “it  would be fun, but no pressure” type of activities?
  6. My word or mantra for this season is…

And here are a list of ideas of some possible fall activities (some will be going on my list for sure!)

Decorate with mini pumpkins, make chili, get a cozy pair of slipper socks, a cozy blanket, redo the stack of books for ones you  either want to read and will make time for or love to just flip through, set up a little tea station/spot in your cupboard (or other cozy drinks), take a series of pictures of the changes of the season surrounding you, study leaves and the amazing colors and patterns that nature provides, start or finish a journal, bake something, plan ahead for the holidays so there will not be so much pressure (start gift shopping or list making etc.), learn something new, get outside in the crisp air, have a picnic

The list could go on and on. Please share in the comments what would be on your list of ideas!
