Creative Clarity Vision journal challenge

A day to myself- Creative Clarity Vision Journal Challenge

Hey Inspiring Soul,

This is a part of (though the prompts can “stand alone”) of a challenge/series “Creative Clarity Vision Journaling” Go HERE to find out more and get the other prompts.

If you had a day to yourself, what would you fill it with? What would you eat, listen to, where would you go?

Find images that represent what you would do if you had a day to yourself. Bonus! If you can’t schedule a day to yourself in the next few weeks or months. Choose 1 or a few of those things to schedule into your week!

Weekend Nourishment-Friday 5

Hey, Inspiring Soul!

  1. Read something fun, inspiring, thought provoking. For many of us reading is something that we want to do more of, yet find ourselves not doing because life gets busy and we get distracted.
  2. Unplug. Get the phone, tablet or computer out of your own face! Step away for an intentional amount of time (a day, half a day, few hours…)
  3. Go outside. If you can get yourself in nature even if for a few minutes! With so much tempting us to stay in (especially in the winter) it’s easy to only go outside to get to the car and back! Go outside with some inention.. Take a deep breath, notice the beauty around you.
  4. Create something.. Explore your inner artist, play, experiment! (I love for this a new to me site is also I also have a few courses that are free right now (for another 5 days as of the time of this posting)
  5. Carve out a corner of cozy for yourself. Put a cozy throw, grab some candles, put up a few bits that inspire you. This doesn’t have to be a big space or a window seat (my dream!) Work with what you got! (Tip: Sometimes we have the space that is being taken up by something else that we never use but don’t think of shifting it… I encourage you to look at your space through that lens this weekend if you don’t feel like you have  room)

Emerging Messages- In My Journal

Hey Beautiful Souls!

For this journal page I worked from one magazine. I grabbed words and glued them down, only grabbing words that I was drawn to. I was not trying to create a message but that is what emerged in the process of this intuitive journal session.

Life Changes so much. Deeply Nourish Joy. Wake up!

What messages are emerging in your journal these days?

Creative Exploration- Friday 5

Recent Creative Explorations!

Hey Creative Souls!

Despite my beginning for the year goal to take an idea, inspiration, DIY or printable  from Pinterestact on my inspiration. I did not do  a spectacular job of it for say the first 9 months of the year lol.. However lately I have been trying to get into that groove by taking (mostly) DIY, crafty ideas and making them, acting upon my inspiration (or Pinspiration as it were!, most all inspired and found via Pinterest, though linked to actual post when possible)

Here are some of my recent creative explorations:

Pushpin Pumpkin

“Doodle” Rocks

Crochet Doily bowl

Nature Mandala (inspired mostly by Bell Grace Magazine)

Tea tin succulent planter

I encourage you to not just collect inspiration, but to carve out the time and space to act upon that inspiration!

Creative, In My Journal

Lettuce stamps and feathers – In my journal…

In my journal…

Hey inspiring Souls..

I thought I would share some bits I have done in my journal(s) this week. None of these took much time but I am happy with the results!

1)      As I was cutting off the bottom of the lettuce the other day for dinner, I happen to notice that the pattern in made was pretty, so after dinner I dried it a bit, squeezed out a little paint and dipped it in there. Then I stamped all over the page.  This only took about 5-10 minutes if that!  I could leave it like this or I could add other layers (of paint, words or images).

2)      These little pages were done while waiting for hubby the other day. The one to the right is done with found bits. Feather, Paint color card, a doily and a little bit of paper from a list I made the other day.

Journaling Prompts

How would you… Journal Prompt

Hey Inspiring Souls,

I have been thinking a LOT about fear lately and how often it becomes the deciding factor in what I do and don’t do.. so I decided today I would shift my perspective a little and ask myself.. (and you of course!)

If fear no longer had the final say how would you..

What would you create?

Everyday Visual Journal Items- Friday 5

Hey Inspiring Souls.. We are surrounded by resources, inspiration and supplies to have a creative life if we are open to it.. Here are 5 Everyday items to use in visual journaling..

  1.  Inside of envelopes, this is an easy and free way to add some pattern to your journal (you’d be surprised there are some really cool patterns sometimes on the inside of those envelopes!)
  2. Toilet paper roll to stamp with , get an empty roll of toilet paper, dip it in cheap paint and stamp it on your journal!
  3. Magazines or catalogs for the words or images
  4. Sharpie, to doodle or write over a magazine page!
  5. Everyday papers like receipts, notes etc.. They can make a good background for some texture or simply glue them in and write some notes and they become bits of documentation of your life..

Want to explore these ideas a bit more? Get Creative? (even if you don’t think you are)  Dig into some introspective journaling (listen a bit deeper to your life) Then check out my course starting May 30th .. Showing up for yourself- On the page..
