Ease- Journal Prompt

Hey Beautiful Soul!

I don’t know about you, but I tend to over complicate like, most everything! As if we need to do that life is complicated enough without us adding to it, yet many of us do. I think that over complicating things sometimes comes from fear, fear of not doing it right, being judged etc.

I don’t know about you, but what I am craving these days is ease. That is what we will explore in today’s prompt.

Where in my life could I use more Ease? (This might come in the form of a decision, loosening your grip on something, allowing things to be imperfect and unfold the way they are… )

Release Some Shoulds- Empowerment Prompt

Hey Inspiring Souls!

I think that a many of us are surrounded by “shoulds” in our life. It can show up in the way we speak to ourselves and others, the expectations we have of how we spend our days, how we show up in relationships to what we surround ourselves with. (and so much more!)

Today, this week. I want to encourage you to release a little bit of the should in your life.

Some ways to do that:

  1. Go to your bookshelf and pull out 1-5 books that feel like shoulds
  2. Replace one should with I choose (I should drink more water, instead I choose to drink more water because it’s good for my body)
  3. Go to your closet and take out at least 1 should (I should keep this I paid a lot for it, it was a gift etc.. )
  4. Delete a should on your desktop or some other place in your digital world.
  5. Unfollow people or pages that feel like shoulds.
  6. Don’t say yes to something this week that feels like a should

Where do you Should on yourself?

Overcomplicating- Journal Prompt

Hey Beautiful Soul!

I don’t know about you, but I am great at overcomplicating lots of things (even my desire to simplify!) So this week’s journal prompt is to help us ponder where we might be doing just that. Noticing where we might be overcomplicating is part of the process of being able to get clarity.

Where and or what in my life am I overcomplicating?

Who you are vs…. Journal Prompt

Hey Lovely Souls!

This weeks prompt is inspired by (taken from) this inspirational saying I saw the other day….

Is what you are doing supporting who you want to be? Are you even clear on who you want to be?

Don’t just keep letting life and others and circumstances to decide who that is.  Sure those things are part of shaping who we are and who we will become. But we can’t allow those to be the only factors or we build our life on falseness and not truth.

This month (Reflection)- Journal Prompt

Hey Beautiful Soul!

Believe it or not August is coming to a close! I have gotten out of the habit of taking the time and space to do a little bit of reflection at the end of each month, So I am prompting you and also myself with doing so for August.

This month I:

I will be sitting down to reflect on these myself later today and tomorrow. Choose 1 or a few that you feel called to and let the rest go, or respond to them all. I’ts all up to you!

Ways to connect- Friday 5

Hey Lovely Soul,

Connecting is something that really matters to me. However, as with many of us, it’s easy to get caught up in the gotta do and should do and lose sight of what we need or what matters right now.

Here are 5 ways to connect (this weekend or anytime)

  1. Connect with Beauty. Buy some flowers, go outside and seek out something beautiful(tip, start looking at details instead of the overwhelm of everything in your view!)
  2. Connect with yourself. Allow yourself to just be still for even 5 minutes ( I know this can feel like hours if you’re not used to it. I love to find stillness in child’s pose) Journal, put your hand on your heart and one on y our bell and ask yourself what you need, sit and listen to a song with your eyes closed and feel it.
  3. Connect with others. Spend time with loved ones or friends, look people in the eyes (this includes people who are ringing you up at a store or the like) Reach out in person or via text, phone or some other way!
  4. Connect with your creativity. Take a photo (or 20!), Get a journal, magazines and a glue stick and glue down some images and words that you love, feel drawn to, doodle, color, knit.
  5. Connect with your body. How are your shoulders feeling, are they up to your ears? What is your body craving, take deep belly breaths, what food or beverage would really nourish you today?
