16 (small) actions to help you live with more intention

Hey Lovely Souls,

Shifting the energy, our lives and starting the path of living a more intentional life doesn’t have to cost us a bunch or any money and doesn’t have to be time consuming. Here are some small actions you can take!

  1. Create a yes stack of books
  2. Release books that feel like “Should”
  3. Clean out your purse, car, junk drawer
  4. Unsubscribe to a email or 3!
  5. Delete apps you never use
  6. Write down a mantra and post it somewhere you will see it often ( I am loved, I am guided, I am doing my best)
  7. Look people in the eyes when you are talking to them (it’s easy to look at our phones or to dismiss the person behind the counter helping us.. make a point to make eye contact)
  8. Send an encouraging text, email, note.
  9. Put on a song you love and move to it or let it move you (sitting and soaking it in…eyes close if safe to do so)
  10. Choose a talisman of sorts, something to wear or easily portable to remind you that you are guided.
  11. Set up “stuff” the night before (clothing, coffee, am tools to help you start your day with purpose and alignment)
  12. Write down what you are grateful for (or paint it, capture a picture, write a poem)
  13. Ask yourself am I numbing or nourishing
  14.  Carry a journal with you to capture ideas, thoughts, doodles, wish lists, soul notes
  15. Carry a reusable water bottle to help you hydrate
  16. Plan your week, make sure you are in the schedule as well. Taking care of yourself is the foundation to supporting your other and to supporting your dreams!

Inspired Living, Journaling Prompts

In Detail- Journal Prompt

Hello Kind Soul,

Life get’s chaotic, we get distracted by all the undones, not yet’s, not rights etc.

I was recently reminded of how powerful detailed gratitude can be. What I mean by this is instead of writing out  say 3-5 + things you are grateful for (Clean Water, my job, family etc.. )  You get specific about 1 (I am grateful for my family and the way we can rally together in times of difficulty….

So this week’s journal prompt is to do just that.

Choose one thing you are grateful for and describe what and why in detail.

Monday Mindset

Figured out- Monday Mindset

Hey Inspiring Souls

Something that I actually seem to remind myself of frequently these days is that I don’t have to have everything all figured out. Well do we ever really. This at least for me feels especially true when there are many unknowns in a situation. I have often tended to lean towards oh my gosh I have to have this all figured out before I really start… I remind myself no i do not, I can work with where things are as best I can.

So this weeks mindset mantra is…

I don’t have to have it all figured out. I choose to start from where I am and do the best I can!

Friday 5

Simple Self Care- Friday 5

Hey Inspiring Souls!

The words “Self Care” get thrown around a lot. It’s easy to feel like it’s selfish and or just another to do.

Truth is it’s vital to being able to support, serve and be our best with others in all types of situations from family to work to our passions the list goes on..

Here are 5 easy ways to slip in self-care in your life, busy, tired or not!

  1. Deep Breaths, we vastly underestimate the power of consciously breathing.  There are videos, articles and books on Breathwork (something I will be studying more of) but a simple way to start is to simply put one hand on your heart and one on your belly and take a deep, slow and mindful breath.
  2. Hydrate, I will admit this is one area of self-care i really need to improve (again!) carry a bottle with you, have a glass near you, drink some upon waking up (we wake up dehydrated)
  3. Ask yourself, what do I really need right now. We are often responding or reacting to what others need. We rarely ask ourselves what we truly need in that moment or in a situation.
  4. Find a song to match your mood, or to help inspire the mood you desire to be in.
  5. Connect to nature, look up at the sky, look down at the plants and flowers in your surroundings, open the window, feel the breeze or sun or whatever the weather is providing that moment.

Thursday Thoughts

Expectation – Thursday Thoughts

Hey Lovely Souls!

I have realized that I have been operating in many areas of my life with the focus on expectations. Or more accurately, the perceived needs/expectations of others.

I am sure this is something we have all done in our lives. Or most of us anyways. It’s so subtle sometimes we don’t even notice it’s happening at first.  However, it can take up a lot of energy.

This can show up in lots of ways.

How we think were supposed to look, eat, feel, express ourselves  in certain situations, relationships, professions etc.

I invite you to start asking yourself (as I will be asking myself) this simple and powerful question:

What is my intention here (in this act, relationship, habit, etc… )

Monday Mindset

I choose- Monday Mindset

Hey Lovely Souls!

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all that life has going on. The noise,  responsibilities, the things you want to do, have to do etc…  When we start our weeks with the sort of panic, defeated feeling we are not setting ourselves up for success. Our mindsets have SO much more influence over how we experience life than anything else.

I encourage you to look at what your current mindset is on. Then ask yourself, does this mindset support or sabotage how I want to feel and what I need/want to get done/experience this week?

This weeks Monday Mindset Mantra is to repeat to yourself: I choose a mindset that supports how I want to show up and feel.

Mindful Moment Monday.., Stumbling towards Mindfulness

Senses- Mindful Moment Monday

Hey Beautiful Souls!

I feel like time is zipping by so fast, I sometimes feel as if I haven’t had a chance to slow down to really notice the things around me, to engage my senses most days. The truth is, life is zipping by fast, but it’s really about not making this engaging more of a priority (at least that’s true for me)

So this week I would love for you (and myself of course!) to slow down and engage our senses a bit…

What do I hear

What do I see

What do I smell

What can I touch, how does it feel?

What can I taste (one bite of something you eat this week, slow down and really notice the flavor, the texture)
