Respond – Monday Mindset

Hello Beautiful Soul,

Something I have been working on (over and over!) is to remind myself to respond, not react.

Reacting is a very different energy than responding. This is true in verbal interactions and many situations. There are times in life where you need to react. But many of us (myself definitely included) tend to react when in reality responding is what we need to do.

To me, reacting is more of the energy of panic, anxiousness, frustration. Response is more calm, thought out, planned.

So this Monday’s Mindset Mantra is:

I choose to respond in a way that honors what really matters in this situation (interaction)

Bring Intention into your weekend- Friday 5


5 ways to bring intention into your weekend
1) Determine how you would like to feel.
2) Make a mini list of what you want/need to do this weekend. (*hint, check in with your word of how you want to feel. Do these actions bring you closer or further to it)
3) Plan your week ahead, Personally I like to do this Sunday evening. It helps me approach my week with far more intention than if I just react to everything that comes up.
4) Spend at least a little time doing something that nourishes you. Go outside, read, take a bath, cook/order a yummy meal etc..
5) Check in how often you are checking out with your phone or other device/screen. It’s not about beating yourself up. It’s about noticing how often you do this by default. The more we check in about these things the more intentional you become when you do pick up your device or remote.

Hey Lovely Souls!

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all that life has going on. The noise,  responsibilities, the things you want to do, have to do etc…  When we start our weeks with the sort of panic, defeated feeling we are not setting ourselves up for success. Our mindsets have SO much more influence over how we experience life than anything else.

I encourage you to look at what your current mindset is on. Then ask yourself, does this mindset support or sabotage how I want to feel and what I need/want to get done/experience this week? 

This weeks Monday Mindset Mantra is to repeat to yourself: I choose a mindset that supports how I want to show up and feel.

We are so used to complicated in so many ways that we forget that sometimes something simple can be really powerful. We search for that thing that will give us the feeling that we so deeply desire, looking right past where it is showing up (or can show up)

Listening is one of those things. How often do you really slow down and listen, actually deeply listen.

5 Inspiring Videos – Friday 5

Hey Beautiful Souls!

I watch something on YouTube at least 3 days a week there is so much inspiration to be had there (and it can be a vortex time sucker, so beware!) Here are some videos I have found inspiring lately.

Mindful Moment Monday..

Create Space in your schedule- Mindful Moment Monday

Hey Beautiful Person,

So many things are out of our control these days. It seems like our worlds for some of us as individuals are falling apart and that the world as a whole has lost its mind. It’s really easy and normal for us to get caught up in that, in the chaos, grief, the shit really… When we continue to do that long term we end up losing a sense of ourselves I think… It’s up to us to create space to reconnect with tiny tiny moments of our truths… One way we can do that is by getting our planner a post it, our digital calendars or reminders (or all of the above!) and creating space for ourselves.

This week can you schedule in time to…


Create a meal that feels nourishing

Text a friend

Mindfully allow ourselves to cry and write our hurts on paper

Move our bodies

Read a book

Go outside

Close our eyes and listen to a song that speaks to our Souls

Create found poetry

Drink some water

Diffuse some oil

Create sticky notes (post its) with reminders and words we need and put them all over our spaces.

This week can you create some space for yourself in whatever way your soul is tugging at you too, even just a little?

Things to Notice – Friday 5


Hey Beautiful Soul!

There are so many ways to sort of check out these days. I want the opposite (although sometimes my actions might hint to something different!) I want to notice more things in my life, body, connections, surroundings.

Here are 5 things I will take notice of…

  1. I will take notice of where my shoulders are “placed” (I mean I know where they are but…) are they up around my ears (a common placement for them when you are stressed or overwhelmed)
  2. I will notice how the sky looks… We so often don’t take time to simply look up and notice.
  3.  I will start taking notice how I feel after I eat certain foods. That’s one of the best ways for me to nourish my body is to notice how I feel about what I put into it!
  4. I will notice the energy, the body language of those I am interacting with on a day to day basis more. This will help me connect deeper.
  5. I will take notice of the beauty, resources, and goodness I have around me right now. Not what I “should” have or want to have but what I have right here, right now.

Self & Soul Care Saturday

Stilness- Saturday Self and Soul Care


Hey Beautiful Souls,

Life and the world is busy and noisy (even if that’s good busy and good noisy sometimes!) It’s a lot for our systems to keep taking in to process.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes when I get overwhelmed, I lean towards numbing (spacing out on various websites (<my numbing of choice!) , tv, games semi zoned out) And while vegging out isn’t a bad thing sometimes, numbing is not nourishing or empowering. It does the opposite.

One way to really ground ourselves is to allow space for Stillness… 

Some ways to create stillness are…

  • Listen to a song, eyes closed and only that
  • Put  your hand on your heart and listen to and follow your breath
  • Do “Childs Pose” (my favorite way to stillness)
  • Sit outside and just listen to the sounds around you, watch whatever bit of nature you can.

There is so much out there on mindfulness (I even write a little bit about it as I am on the path of learning and practicing to live more mindfully myself.) And within that there so much talk about being present in all we do.. while i love the idea of that.. I can’t say that I am anywhere close to doing that.. But I do have certain times, activities, places where I feel really present.

So that is this week’s prompt, something to write about, ponder about and even practice. I feel the most present in, when, with..
