Creative, Creative Prompts

10 Things to put in your journal- Creative Prompt

10 Things to put in your journal:
  1. Articles
  2. Recipes
  3. Ideas
  4. Gratitude
  5. Magazine images
  6. Words/phrases from magazines
  7. Your words (what’s on your heart, mind, bucket list)
  8. Bits of everyday life (pictures, receipts, junk mail) Doodles that depict what you wore, ate, feel, love, saw etc..
  9. Paint (you don’t have to have a clue how to paint in order to use it.. get stencils or use bits of life like bottle caps, toilet paper rolls etc to dip in the paint and “stamp” on the page.
  10.  Washi tape or stickers. Those are both easy ways to make make it fun, creative but not time consuming or feeling like you need to know how to …

It’s your journal, anything goes that feels right to you!

I need- Creative Clarity Vision Journal Challenge

Hey Creative Soul! Yes you!

We continue with the “Creative Clarity Vision Journal Series/Challenge” To find out more about it or to see the other prompts go here!

I need…

So often we are intuitive and responsive to others needs. Yet we are disconnected from our own. This will eventually lead to feeling resentful and depleted.

Today… ask yourself what you need and find images, words, colors etc that represent that (and or a list!)

Journaling Prompts

Imperfectly Happy- Found Prompt

Hey Creative Soul!

This week’s found prompt is an interesting one, I was drawn to it for a course I am taking to use in/with the prompt.  There are as I always intend, a few ways you can explore it. Visual Journaling, written or a mixture of, make it a list, a stream of writing (set a timer if you would like for say 5 minutes)

What does it bring up for you?

Journaling Prompts

Remember- (Found) Journal Prompt

Hey Beautiful Souls,

I have been doing Journal Prompts for years on this blog. I am a huge advocate of journaling and I wanted to keep doing so, but to mix it up a bit. So I decided to start sharing found journal prompts (words, maybe even images) from magazines, junk mail, etc…

So this week’s is: Remember this..

This could be a moment, a message, an interaction that you want to remember.

Creative, Friday 5, Holistic Living, In My Journal

In my Visual Journal- Friday 5 (Plus a free offering!)

Hey Beautiful Souls..

Visual Journaling is a practice that has really supported and nourished me and many parts of my life over the  years. It was maybe 4 or 5 years ago that my sister told me about it, and somewhere along the way I decided yes, I would like to try that..

Most of us called it Art Journaling then, I now prefer the term Visual Journaling or Creative Journaling.. Those feel less pressure filled for me.

I love that we can all have the exact same set of materials but how they would be used and expressed would be unique to each of us!

Here are 5 semi recent visual journal pages.. These days i tend to play more with collage than paint in my visual journal, but I do LOVE to play with paint too!
